The popular activity of sailing and traveling around the Turkish Riviera on a traditional Turkish Gullet is referred to as “Blue Cruise,” or “Blue Voyage.” Unique to the Bodrum and Marmaris area, the gullets are big wooden sailing vessels with a long open deck and multiple staterooms.
The turquoise waters you will encounter during the trip are aptly described by the word “blue” in Blue Cruise. Typically, the Blue cruise lasts 4–7 days, which gives you the opportunity to visit more isolated islands and learn about the historical remains that are still there.
What makes a Blue Cruise unique?
One of the greatest ways to see the Turkish Riviera is with Turkey blue cruises. In addition to being reasonably priced, it gives you access to a lot of the more isolated locations and islands. You will see numerous islands that would otherwise be inaccessible while on the tour.
You spend your days eating, hiking, swimming, and lounging in the azure waters. You can also savor some of Turkey’s freshest cuisine while on these cruises. The same-day-caught fish is grilled and served with a variety of veggies and salads. After the meal, you can enjoy a cup of Turkish tea or coffee while watching the sunset.
The ideal time to take a blue cruise
The Blue Cruise is most enjoyable in late spring, summer, or early fall. The temperature is milder and more comfortable in late spring, from May to June, but the water has not had time to warm up completely. Because of this, swimming can be a touch cool, but decking is rather comfortable.
The summer months of July through August are the busiest. The water will feel very warm once the air temperature reaches 32°C. In addition to being the busiest season, prices are typically higher at this time.
The water is at its hottest in the fall, from September to early October, after having had the whole summer to warm up. The crowds have begun to thin out, and the weather is lovely, much like in late April.
Your time on board will be equally as stunning as the islands’ and the waterways’ unparalleled natural splendor. After that, you will have the opportunity to have a quick swim before exploring the island on land. Although every island is unique, you may typically find some ancient remains.
